Dead people are celebrated on the Web

The dead are remembered on the Web by now. Social networks, such as Facebook and Myspace, are ready: the former decided to create a death form which can be unloaded so that everybody can leave a comment on the dead person’s bulletin board, while the latter just created a section called MyDeathSpace, where the most famous dead people are remembered. Apart from these pages which are defined to be commemorative, there is a series of web sites which serve as “virtual cemeteries”. For example on the web site defuntioggi.it you can find all obituaries and Funeras is the first social network esclusively dedicated to the subject. Finally there is Fantamorto, a real fantasy football where the first prize is awarded to the person who guesses the names of famous people who will die the following year.

The reason was that there was no toilet paper. As he could not go out of the toilet, he called for help on Twitter. He connected by means of his mobile phone and wrote: “I urgently need some toilet paper in the toilet which is on the third floor of Akiba Yodobashi”. Which was the result? Only twenty minutes later he got it. At last he kindly thanked his “rescuer” by sending another message on Twitter: “I have got the toilet paper, thank you very much”. Nowadays social networks are useful not only to communicate and to be always in touch with our friends but also to help the people who have little problems such as remaining blocked in a toilet.

Rice-bra, this is the brassière useful for cultivating rice

TOKIO. The latest commercial eccentricity comes from Japan. The new Triumph brassière allows to cultivate rice thanks to the formula “do-it-yourself”. The famous lingerie company has already had strange initiatives, such as the sushi-bra. The new product is made of ecological materials and it is composed of two half vases which can be joined to form a whole container. The two vases can contain earth, water and little
rice-bearing plants and they are surrounded by little water pipes, which also serve as strings around the back. The idea is due to Japanese women’s increasing passion for agriculture and to the great demand of “do-it-yourself” sets to cultivate rice at home, which are predominantly bought on line. At present either the marketing plans of the product or the price of the new bra are not known yet.
